I spent a fun evening teaching some very enthusiastic gals how to make some easy snacks. Through the Junior League of Toronto’s Kickstart For Health Program I made up a challenging menu of:
Extreme Granola Parfait
Ham and Broccoli Quiche
Corn and Crab Soup
Salmon Cakes on Corn Relish
The girls expertly moved through the night’s recipes and we ended up with a feast by 9 p.m.
We focused on creating healthy and delicious food that would reheat quickly as an alternative to processed foods. We also read some breakfast food labels and decided that if you couldn’t pronounce the ingredients on a label it wasn’t a good choice for your body. Look at us cook!
